Witch Nicole (AU Nicole) and Mobian Shard (AU Shard) who is actually called "Jack" but eh.
Their relationship is...odd to sum it up. Unlike in the comics, Nicole knew Shard since they were really little and they were good friends back then. However since Nicole's developing magic alienated her from her friends and family she grew cold and cynical, cruel almost.

 When she was old enough to stand her own, she fought back against Robotnick's legion and made a home of her own which slowly grew into and entire kingdom. Since when she was old enough to stand her own she also left her family and friends behind, a good portion of them never went to search for her, while the few who slowly came to terms with what Nicole was and despite that still wanted to be with her went and found her kingdom.

  This is where Jack (AU Shard) comes in. Jack found her and her kingdom and decided to live there to catch up and rekindle their friendship. While he did he realized she ruled by doing what she pleased however she pleased which tended to cause tension between her and her people. Mainly when she did magic to protect or control others. Since Jack knew why she did that he tried to convince her she didn't have to use magic all the time and that she could still rule the kingdom and protect the people without it. This gives them many debates, squabbles, and Nicole trolling Jack so he could shut up about it.
 
  But he doesn't all the time which allows them to re-establish their old friendship...to an extent. Nicole isn't as open about her feelings as she used to be and feels the need to assert herself as the alpha with anyone she meets. This means she'll ether meet them as an equal or look down on them, often mocking or taunting them. But Nicole's empathy hasn't completely withered. She knows when Jack is pushing himself too hard and will call him out on it or try to comfort and reason with him about it. Over time Nicole makes it apparent that she also has a crush on him, and she knows the feeling is mutual. This leads to comedic teasing aimed at Jack while everyone else gets to watch, whether Jack wants them to or not. When its not teasing Nicole and Jack can have some serious and cute moments...if Nicole feels like being down to earth enough.
